carbon steel welding rod standard AWS E7016

Model: AWSE70161. Description:

 AWS E7016 is low hydrogen potassium coating carbon steel electrode, It has good welding technological properties and AC arc stable, low spatter,beautiful appearance of weld, good slag detachability and all position welding, weld metal has excellent plasticity,low temperature-tenacity and anti-crack ability.

2. Application:

It is for welding carbon steel or low alloy steel, such as 16Mn,09Mn2Si,etc and also for welding ships which used A,B,D,E grade steel, and the important frame for the relative strength grade vehicles, construction and bridges.

3.Attention:

1)it is easy to expose to moisture, pls keep it in a dry condition.

2)It need heating before use, heating   temperature should be 350 deg , heating time should be 1 hour.

3.)It requires basic metal clearing impurities, such as oil, rust , water and so on.

4.)Use short ARC, Narrow-circuit method for welding.

4.Chemical composition

 C: 0.12max, Mn 1.6, Si 0.75max, S 0.035max, P 0.04max

5.Mechanical property

   Yield point: 400 MPa min, Tensile strength : 490 MPa min, Elongation : 22% min,  Impact value: 55-205J (below 30 deg)
